Megha and Gwinyai are getting married here at the Orangery in July this year and were so pleased when they found their dream venue. The lovely couple shared with us how they met, the romantic proposal and their story so far……
We met, to most of our friend and family’s surprise, on a Saturday in a night club in Leicester all the way back in 2007. We clicked instantly talking into the early hours of the morning oblivious to the clubbing atmosphere around us. We went on our first date the following Friday and the rest is history!
In September 2013, on the pretence of going to eat at a fancy seafood restaurant in Mayfair, Gwinyai proposed in the middle of an art gallery in front of a portrait of Megha he had specially commissioned.
Finding a wedding venue was top of the list and the first venue we came across was The Orangery on the internet. Convinced there was no way we would be able to afford it we searched elsewhere but everywhere we viewed fell short. The perfect venue seemed impossible to find until we eventually viewed The Orangery. It was nothing short of a dream wedding venue for us and we never looked back! We fell in love with it instantly and could actually see ourselves getting married in the picturesque grounds – a feeling no other venue had given to us. Best of all we managed to work with the friendly team at The Orangery to fit the cost of the venue within our budget!!
Megha said “It was like I had known him for years and from the moment we met we talked for hours every spare moment we got. He called me before work, on his lunch breaks and after work. We never did and to this day never have run out of things to say to each other. I found in him my soul mate, best friend and one true love.”
What a beautiful story, we look forward to welcoming you and your guests and wish you both every happiness!
