The lovely Becky and James tied the knot here at the Orangery on Wednesday 11 May. They enjoyed a spectacular weekday wedding which was held on the anniversary of the day they met. Becky shared their romantic story with us…..
“We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend when we were young, he was with someone else at the time but luckily for me their relationship fizzled out and we had a spark so kept in touch and 10 years later were getting married. We chose our date although it’s mid-week because we will have been together for 10 years on the day so why not make it extra special and give James one less date to remember. James proposed to me at Leeds Castle on a beautiful sunny day with a picnic overlooking the castle and ground. Such a special day I’ll remember forever. It seemed fitting that the Orangery is down the road from Leeds Castle and as soon as we saw the grounds we fell in love. The date we wanted was available and we snapped it up. All of our family have seen pictures on line or been for a tour with us and it’s hard to pick their jaws off the ground. With the sunny weather and beautiful flowers blossoming I know it’s going to be the perfect backdrop for our big day. We’ve been engaged 3 years but felt like our anniversary was as special a time as ever to tie the knot. We’re so excited about the day and very much looking forward to our honeymoon in Mauritius for some well needed relaxation. Special thank you to Jo for her help as wedding co-ordinator”
They certainly did have a wonderful day and now have another amazing memory to add to the collection. The grounds were looking stunning for their outside wedding and they decorated the Orangery beautifully.
We are proud to have been a part of this special day and would like to wish Becky and James all the very best for their future as Mr & Mrs.
